How to Become a Member

Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Meriden Turner Society. We are always glad to accept new members to help us continue the promotion and preservation of German American culture and traditions. Following are the steps to becoming a member:

Any person of honorable character, the age of eighteen (18) years or older, not previously expelled from this society, who promises to abide by the constitution and bylaws of this organization and has been sponsored by a member of good standing of the society shall be eligible for membership.
Every candidate for membership must deposit a membership fee ($40/single, $60/couple) with the application for membership
The election of members is by voice ballot at the monthly club meeting and the majority rules.

Since new members are accepted into the club through sponsorship of existing members in good standing, we encourage prospective members to come to the club on one of our Thursday club nights (once they resume in Sept) or to one of the events we sponsor to meet and get to know other members of the club.
